The Inova Keller Center is looking for a dedicated Behavioral Health Therapist I to join the team! Our comprehensive mental health and substance use disorder treatment programs and an innovative special education school support families throughout Northern Virginia. This therapist will work primarily with our Intensive Outpatient Program and also lend support to our Partial Hospitalization Program.  This role will be full-time day shift from Monday – Friday, core hours 10:30 am – 7:00 pm, with some flexibility to cover PHP earlier in the day if needed.  The Keller Center is in Fairfax, VA.

Behavioral Health Therapist I Job Responsibilities:

• Performs duties under the clinical supervision of an approved clinical supervisor registered with the DBHDS or receives clinical supervision from an approved clinical supervisor registered with the DBHDS.
  • Provides care coordination to ensure the patient and family receive and are subsequently referred to appropriate healthcare and community resources to optimize treatment and intervention outcomes.
  • Provides a range of therapeutic interventions, psycho-educational programming and behavioral interventions (when indicated) to assist the patient/family in achieving the goals and objectives of the individualized service plan.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education: Master's Degree, Ph.D., PsyD, EdD in Mental Health, Social Work, Counseling, Substance Use Disorders or Behavioral Health related field.
• Experience: Two years of experience in mental health/substance use disorder treatment, psychoeducational programming including targeted, evidence-based interventions (crisis intervention, trauma, and integrative therapies).
• Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association within 3 months of hire. Crisis Prevention Institute within 6 months of hire. 
• Licensure: Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, LMFT), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Clinical Psychologist (LCP), or Licensed Substance Abuse Professional (LSATP).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with adolescent patients strongly preferred
