Puritas is the leader in providing water and wastewater treatment solutions in Sri Lanka and Maldives. Puritas is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented professional to join its Business Development Team, with a focus on expanding the company’s presence in the Maldives and other potential regional markets.
Position-Assistant Manager - Business Development
Location - Puritas Head Office, Colombo 10
Job Responsibilities:
Support and coordinate business development activities to achieve the company’s growth objectives.
Identify and develop new business opportunities and expand the company’s presence in regional markets.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, developers, contractors and business partners.
Generate leads, follow up on potential opportunities and support their conversion into projects.
Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify upcoming projects and potential customers.
Represent Puritas at international exhibitions, trade fairs, business forums and networking events.
Participate in client meetings, presentations, commercial negotiations and technical discussions.
Maintain and regularly update the business opportunity pipeline and report progress to management.
Coordinate enquiries, requests for quotations (RFQs), tenders and proposals with technical and commercial teams.
Support the preparation and follow-up of competitive technical and commercial proposals.
Assist management in developing market expansion plans and business growth strategies.
Candidate Profile:
A degree or professional qualification in Business Management, Marketing or a related field.
An engineering or science background will be an added advantage.
Preferably 5–8 years of experience in business development, sales, technical sales or B2B marketing.
Ability to coordinate and manage project-related activities, priorities and timelines effectively.
Strong communication, networking, presentation and negotiation skills.
Excellent written and spoken English.
Familiarity with AI-powered tools and their practical applications in market research, lead generation and business development will be an added advantage.
A commercially minded, proactive individual who can work independently and collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
Willingness to travel overseas for client meetings, exhibitions and other business development activities.
