Adjunct Instructor, Occupational Therapy Program, Specialization in Early Intervention Concentration (SEIC)

The Specialization in Early Intervention Concentration (SEIC) instructor will be responsible for preparing a select cohort of competitive MS-OT students to excel as clinical specialists serving infants, toddlers, and families under the New York State Early Intervention Program (EIP) framework.

The instructor will deliver and evaluate student performance in the following course:

OTMS-5107: Occupational Therapy in Early Intervention (2.0 Credits): Update and teach this elective seminar course, emphasizing the application of evidence-based occupational therapy interventions for infants and toddlers under three years of age and their families. Instruction will focus on embedded coaching models, family-centered practices, and intervention strategies within the New York State Early Intervention Program. Facilitate seminar discussions, online learning activities, and the application of concepts introduced in prerequisite courses. Guide students in analyzing common clinical challenges encountered when working with young children and families, while supporting their continued participation in the Family Partnership Experience.
