We are seeking a commercially minded Plant Controller to join our manufacturing leadership team. In this highly visible role, you will act as the senior finance leader on site, partnering closely with plant leadership to provide financial insight, drive operational performance, and support strategic decision-making.

What you will do
- Serve as the primary finance business partner to the Plant Operations Manager and site leadership team, providing financial expertise and strategic guidance.
- Lead the site's financial planning processes, including annual budgets, monthly forecasts, and long-range planning activities.
- Deliver insightful analysis of monthly financial performance, including P&L, balance sheet, inventory, and operational KPIs, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Coordinate the monthly financial close process in partnership with the Regional Business Centre (RBC), ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
- Maintain a strong financial control environment, ensuring compliance with company policies and financial governance requirements.
- Lead and develop the local finance team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture.
- Support capital investment decisions by preparing business cases, evaluating financial returns, and conducting post-investment reviews.
- Partner with operational teams to support productivity initiatives, continuous improvement projects, and operational excellence programs.
- Perform financial analysis to support key business decisions, including make-versus-buy evaluations and cost optimization opportunities.
- Manage plant inventory reporting, inventory controls, and inventory health metrics to support working capital and operational performance targets.
- Oversee product costing activities, including transfer pricing and ERP costing data maintenance.
- Coordinate and support annual physical inventory counts and inventory control processes.

- Translate complex financial information into clear insights that support informed decision-making at all levels of the organization.
- Use data-driven analysis to identify performance drivers, uncover opportunities, and proactively address risks.
- Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
- Leverage manufacturing ERP systems and financial reporting tools to ensure accurate costing, reporting, and forecasting.
- Lead with curiosity, adaptability, and a solutions-focused mindset in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Develop collaborative relationships with stakeholders across finance and operations to deliver shared business goals.
What we look for
Required
- English and Hungarian language level - advanced
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related discipline.
- Experience in a manufacturing finance, plant finance, or operations finance environment.
- Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and management reporting.
- Experience working with standard costing methodologies and manufacturing cost accounting principles.
- Experience using ERP systems within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to transform financial data into actionable business insights.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships and influence decision-making across functions.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in financial analysis and presentation tools.
- Experience leading, coaching, or developing team members.
Preferred
- Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or equivalent).
- Experience supporting inventory management, working capital initiatives, and supply chain operations.
- Experience leading operational excellence, continuous improvement, or cost optimization projects.
- Experience preparing capital expenditure business cases and investment appraisals.
- Knowledge of transfer pricing principles and product costing processes.
- Exposure to multinational manufacturing environments and shared service operating models.
Our salary
The salary for this position will be in the range of 1,2M-1,9M HUF. The final package will reflect your experience, skills, and qualifications relevant to the role. We are committed to fair, equitable, and gender-neutral pay practices.
