What You'll Do
- Evaluate, diagnose, and manage a wide range of acute and chronic pulmonary conditions, including COPD, asthma, interstitial lung disease, pulmonary fibrosis, and sleep-related breathing disorders.
- Develop individualized treatment plans utilizing evidence-based clinical guidelines and best practices.
- Interpret pulmonary function tests, imaging studies, laboratory results, and other diagnostic evaluations.
- Collaborate with referring providers and interdisciplinary care teams to ensure coordinated, high-quality patient care.
- Educate patients and families on disease management, treatment options, preventive care, smoking cessation, and lifestyle modifications.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and value-based care programs that enhance patient outcomes and population health performance.
- Maintain timely, accurate, and compliant documentation within the electronic medical record.
- Support the continued growth and development of Millennium's Pulmonary Medicine service line.
Qualifications
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pulmonary Disease
- MD or DO from an accredited medical school
- Active Florida medical license (or ability to obtain)
- DEA license (or ability to obtain prior to start)
- Commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care
- Interest in collaborative, value-based medicine
- Strong clinical, communication, and relationship-building skills
- Experience with AthenaOne EMR is a plus
