The DHS’ Division of Family & Children Services (DFCS) Child Welfare, is seeking candidates to fill the position of Child Welfare Services Technician 1, reporting to a Child Welfare Services Case Manager Supervisor. This position is in Rock Spring, Walker County.

THIS POSITION IS IN OFFICE.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Completes administrative case management tasks such as obtaining records, data entry, service referrals, and phone verification.
• Hands on case management support such as DNA collections, transportation, providing direct care to children when needed.
• Scheduling and facilitating meetings and internal staffings when needed.
• Assist with projects as assigned such as Christmas for foster children, clothing closet, and visitation room.
• Provide general support to Child Protective Services case management staff.

Preferred Skills/Qualifications: Preference will be given to candidates who, in addition to meeting the minimum qualifications, demonstrate some or all the following skills/experience:

• Two years at an accredited college or university with at least 15 credit hours in a social service-related field.
