Bioprocessing Sales Specialist

We are seeking a dynamic, self-driven and experienced Bioprocessing Sales Specialist to join our team, focusing on Repligen’s differentiated PAT portfolio that provides customers with actionable insights to optimize development processes and improve manufacturing efficiencies with complementary best-in-class PAT solutions for Upstream and Downstream processing. This role is to be based remote in the North West/West Germany areas (such as Cologne, Frankfurt, Heidelberg areas as examples) and presents an exciting opportunity to leverage cutting-edge technology to enhance bioprocessing workflows.- Sales and Business Development: Drive sales and business development activities for Process Analytics Products within the defined territory in Germany. Develop and execute strategic sales plans to meet and exceed sales targets. The role will also include territory responsibilities outside of Germany (for example such as Denmark, Nordics etc) and travel to those countries/accounts expected to be successful in the role.
- Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, including biopharmaceutical companies, research institutions, and contract manufacturing organizations.
- Market Analysis: Conduct market analysis to identify new opportunities and trends within the bioprocessing industry. Monitor competitor activities and develop strategies to maintain a competitive edge.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, product development, customer service, field application specialists, and technical support, to ensure seamless execution of sales strategies and customer satisfaction.
- Training and Development: Participate in ongoing training and development programs to stay updated on the latest advancements in analytical technologies and bioprocessing.
- Reporting: Produce regular sales reports and forecasts, offering insights to management on sales performance and market dynamics.
- Sales Rigor and Effectiveness: Maintain sales rigor and effectiveness by managing Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database i.e., Sales Force and reporting systems efficiently i.e., Tableau, PowerBI, Slack. Ensure accurate and timely data entry and analysis to support business decisions and sales growth.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Bioprocessing, Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 7+ years of sales experience in the bioprocessing or biotechnology industry, with a focus on Process Analytics Products and PAT.
- Industry Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of the bioprocessing and biotechnology industries, including trends, challenges, and opportunities.
- Sales Acumen: Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets. Ability to develop and execute successful sales strategies.
- Customer Focus: Strong focus on customer satisfaction and the ability to build long-term relationships with key accounts.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to present technical information effectively to diverse audiences.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and customers.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Demonstrated ability to analyze and solve complex technical and business-related problems.
- Travel: Willingness to travel extensively within the defined Territory to meet with customers and attend industry events. Average 50% travel expected to be successful in the territory.
- Adaptability in Dynamic Environments: Demonstrated ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with a strong capacity for adaptability and flexibility.
