Who are we?

XNRGY Climate Systems is a North American leader in the sustainable design and advanced manufacturing of custom air-treatment, thermal-management, and liquid-cooling systems. With decades of HVAC engineering and manufacturing expertise, XNRGY delivers innovative, energy-efficient solutions for mission-critical industries, including hyperscale and modular data centers, healthcare, clean rooms, life sciences, semiconductors, and advanced manufacturing.

Our United States technology headquarters and manufacturing facility opened in Mesa, Arizona, in 2025. As XNRGY continues building its Service and Commissioning organization, we are seeking an experienced Reliability Engineer to support our growing installed base of chillers, computer room air handlers (CRAHs), and fan coil wall systems.

One position will be weighted toward chillers and refrigeration, while the other will focus more heavily on air-side equipment, electrical systems, and controls. Both positions carry the same core responsibilities, and product alignment will be based on each candidate’s experience.

The role

The Reliability Engineer is responsible for investigating field failures, determining their causes, developing corrective actions, and helping ensure that the same issue does not affect future units.

Working within Service Engineering, this position serves as a critical link between field teams and XNRGY’s Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Service Operations functions. The Reliability Engineer will lead warranty and defect investigations, manage service-parts data, provide senior technical escalation support, and translate field findings into product, process, and documentation improvements.

This is an opportunity to help build the systems used to support XNRGY’s growing mission-critical installed base. The investigation standards, service-parts structure, and escalation processes are being developed now, and the Reliability Engineer will play a central role in establishing them.

Field data, technical investigations, and product changes operate within one organization, creating a direct path from an equipment failure in the field to a verified corrective action on the production line.

Travel and working conditions

This position is based in Mesa, Arizona, and requires approximately 30% travel to active data-center sites across North America. Travel may increase temporarily when a significant field event requires an onsite investigation.

Site work may occur on active construction projects and in live data centers. Conditions may include work at height, confined spaces, and proximity to energized equipment. Applicable certifications, safety procedures, and personal protective equipment are required.

Some investigations may occur outside normal business hours when immediate access is necessary to preserve evidence or restore critical operations.

Core competencies

Technical Judgment: Uses evidence and structured analysis to identify the actual cause of complex equipment failures.

Execution Excellence: Drives investigations and corrective actions from initial field report through verified closure.

Systems Thinking: Understands how mechanical, refrigeration, electrical, and controls systems interact rather than evaluating components in isolation.

Field Credibility: Communicates effectively with experienced technicians, commissioning professionals, customers, and service partners.

Technical Communication: Produces clear, practical documentation that field personnel can use under demanding conditions.

Collaboration: Builds productive relationships across Service, Commissioning, Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and external suppliers.

Adaptability: Operates effectively in a growing organization where technical processes and support systems are still being established.
