Are you a senior sales leader who builds trusted executive relationships and turns customer strategy into transformation? Microsoft is looking for a Senior Strategic Account Executive to lead one of our most strategic enterprise accounts in the Financial Sector.

You will be the single point of accountability for the customer relationship. You will own the account strategy, the multi-year growth plan and the business results. You will bring together a virtual team of technical, specialist, services, customer success and partner resources to help the customer reach its business goals with Microsoft Cloud and AI. This includes Azure, AI and Copilot, Security, and Modern Work and Business Applications.

Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft background and Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Executive Relationships

• Build and maintain trusted relationships with C-level and senior decision makers on both the business and technical side, and position Microsoft as a strategic partner in the customer's transformation.
• Use executive storytelling to connect the customer's strategic priorities to Microsoft's Cloud and AI value proposition.
• Lead complex negotiations and resolve escalations so that both the customer and Microsoft get lasting value.

Account Strategy & Planning

• Own and lead the strategic account plan, with a multi-year roadmap that matches the customer's vision, industry trends and competitive landscape.
• Work with the Account Technology Strategist to turn the customer's business outcomes into a joint plan covering AI, security and consumption.
• Use customer insights, industry knowledge and digital signals to find new growth opportunities.

Sales Execution & Business Results

• Deliver revenue, consumption and pipeline targets through disciplined pipeline management, accurate forecasting and early risk mitigation.
• Design and lead complex deal strategies, including enterprise agreements and Azure commitments, and handle commercial, procurement, legal and compliance work.
• Lead the account through Microsoft's business rhythm, keeping execution consistent and quality high.

Orchestration & Leadership

• Coordinate a virtual team across technical, specialist, customer success, services and support roles so that everyone works toward the same customer outcomes.
• Work with partners to expand reach and accelerate adoption and value realization.
• Coach and mentor peers, share best practices, and help build an inclusive, high-performing team culture.

Business & Industry Expertise

• Keep deep knowledge of the customer's industry, including regulation, competitors and market trends, so you can shape strategy as a trusted advisor.
• Build business cases and value analyses (ROI, TCO) that link Microsoft solutions to measurable business outcomes.

Required/minimum qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree AND 10+ years experience working in a financial services, insurance retail, or technology industry and/or driving digital transformation OR Master's Degree AND 9+ years experience working in a financial services, insurance retail, or technology industry and/or driving digital transformation OR 13+ years experience in working in afinancial services, insurance retail, or technology industry and/or driving digital transformation OR equivalent experience.

• 6+ years experience making recommendations to and/or collaborating with mid-to-senior level executives.

• 8+ years experience closing large, complex agreements/deals.

• Professional fluency in Spanish and English, written and spoken.
  
  Additional or preferred qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree AND 13+ years experience working in a financial services, insurance retail, or technology industry and/or driving digital transformation OR Master's Degree AND 11+ years experience working in a financial services, insurance retail, or technology industry and/or driving digital transformation OR equivalent experience.

• Proven experience building relationships with C-level executives and influencing their decisions.
• A record of closing complex, high-value deals, including multi-year enterprise agreements and consumption-based commitments.
• Strong business and financial acumen. You can build business cases and value analyses (ROI, TCO) that connect technology to business outcomes.
• Experience leading virtual teams across technical, specialist, services and partner roles toward shared customer outcomes.
• Understanding of Cloud, Data and AI, Security and digital transformation, with the ability to talk credibly about how they change a business.
• Experience co-selling with partners and running joint go-to-market efforts.
