Main Activities and Responsibilities: (including but not limited to)
Key Responsibility Area - Administration
- Process and issue Overweight (OW), High Productivity Motor Vehicle (HPMV) and Specialist Vehicle (SV) Permits on behalf of NZ Transport Agency in accordance with the NZ Transport Agency Overweight Permit Manual and Vehicle Dimension and Mass Rule (VDAM 2016).
- Assist with the administration of policy governing the movement of Overweight and over dimension vehicles on State Highways and Local Authority networks.
- Develop and maintain close working relationship with the NZ Police Commercial Vehicle Safety Team (CVST).
- Represent NZ Transport Agency as the customer contact for overweight permits and promote NZ Transport Agency policies and procedures as directed.
- Contribute to the monthly reports for NZ Transport Agency.
- Perform all other permit related duties as directed or required by Discipline Lead / Transport Manila Operations Manager/ Regional Team Executive in line with his experience, discipline, or qualifications.

Qualifications (Minimum and Desirable):
- Graduate of Engineering, Architecture, Business, Formal Sciences
- Certificate/Associate/Diploma programs (Computer Technology, Drafting Technology)
- Administrative and process experience
- Team and target delivery experience
- Customer liaison experience
- Strong organisational ability to optimise and prioritise conflicting demands in a busy environment, to achieve deadlines and see responsibilities through to completion
- Good analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills, including oral and written communication and particularly the ability to present ideas, information and advice in a way that is understandable by a range of audiences.
- Computer literate; proficient in MS Office suite 2013 – Proficient in Word and Excel essential.
- Results orientated, with a reputation for, and demonstrated achievement of, key strategic priorities.
- Able to work to deadlines and see tasks through to completion.
- Excellent self-management skills, including working effectively without direct supervision, managing, and organising fluctuating workloads in sometimes stressful situations.

WSP Manila Transport Team wishes to recruit a Permit Issuing Officer (PIO) as part of the Permit Issuing Team, working alongside the other Permit Issuing Officers, to deliver services in processing and approving Overweight, High Productivity Motor Vehicle and Specialist Vehicle applications on behalf of NZ Transport Agency.
The PIO will be responsible for the technical quality of the Overweight and High Productivity Motor Vehicle permits including training and other support.
