Join Vertiv’s new Finance Data & AI Analytics capability in Cluj-Napoca and help turn finance data into trusted, automated, decision-ready insight. The role combines financial analytics, BI reporting, data engineering concepts, process automation and practical AI/LLM usage. You will partner with Finance stakeholders to build scalable reporting, improve data quality, reduce manual work and accelerate insight generation across the organisation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Build and maintain finance dashboards, KPIs and standardized reporting in Power BI, applying strong DAX and visualization practices.
- Aggregate, interpret and summarize financial statistics; translate business questions into clear, decision-ready reporting and insights.
- Develop and optimize SQL queries and data transformations; work with large datasets across source systems, databases and reporting platforms.
- Automate recurring reporting and data workflows using Python, Power Automate and other RPA/automation tools, reducing manual effort and cycle time.
- Contribute to governed data products and reusable datasets/models, with clear documentation, controls, validation routines and data-quality checks.
- Support finance data movement and analytics workflows across on-premises environments and cloud platforms; collaborate on integrations and performance improvements.
- Use LLMs responsibly for productivity and analytics tasks, including prompt engineering and review/correction of AI-generated reports and outputs.
- Partner with Finance and technical stakeholders to understand requirements, communicate trade-offs and deliver scalable solutions; document processes and standard operating procedures.
- Support exploratory AI/ML use cases such as anomaly detection, forecasting and intelligent automation as the Finance Data & AI Analytics capability matures.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
CORE REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Information Systems, Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in data analytics, BI, process automation, financial systems or related disciplines.
- Strong working knowledge of Power BI and DAX; experience publishing reports and automating workflows.
- Practical SQL skills and experience handling, transforming and validating large datasets.
- Demonstrated experience with Python and automation/RPA tools for repeatable analytics or reporting processes.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and process-improvement skills with high attention to detail and data quality.
PREFERRED / VALUE-ADD
- Experience with Snowflake and/or Oracle; familiarity with cloud data platforms and serverless services (AWS a plus).
- Experience with HFM, Oracle EPM, OneStream, ERP data or FP&A / financial reporting processes.
- Experience with Grafana, Tableau or Google Analytics in addition to Power BI.
- Basic knowledge of Linux CLI, virtual machines, OAuth and authentication/authorization concepts.
- Basic ability to interact with LLMs, prompt engineering, and critical review of AI-generated analysis.
- General knowledge of financial metrics; manufacturing-sector finance knowledge is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills and willingness to expand into adjacent data, cloud and IT domains.
