Strategy Implementation Manager
SAIC · Remote Work
We are seeking a strategy manager to translate enterprise-level strategic imperatives coming out of SAIC’s updated corporate strategy into coordinated action across the enterprise. This role is designed for a high-caliber strategist who can help frame difficult, ambiguous, and cross-enterprise problems, and work collaboratively across the company to design the "next layer down" activities and operations that underpin our enterprise strategy. This role sits in SAIC's Corporate Strategy team, bridging the gap between broad, high-level enterprise vision and actionable, structured strategy implementation. You will work side-by-side with functional and Business Group executives to dive into the tactical details, build consensus, and actively identify and close the operational gaps required to make our enterprise strategy work in practice. This role can be worked remotely within the United States for the right candidate.
This is a high-impact role focused on driving concrete outcomes. Instead of directing a large project team, your leadership is exercised through developing executive alignment and partnering directly with business teams to translate strategic goals into tangible realities. The ideal candidate is energized by hands-on problem-solving, structured diagnostic thinking, and high-impact deliverable creation. The candidate should have experience operating at the intersection of strategy and execution — including time in strategy consulting, corporate strategy, or a comparable internal strategy/operations role. They must be highly comfortable navigating ambiguity, bringing rigorous structure to unstructured environments, and driving execution through influence rather than direct authority.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with VP of Corporate Strategy to scope and lead cross-functional / cross-market strategic planning / internal consulting engagements
- Coordinate development of strategic imperatives, critical success factors, frameworks, and the enterprise strategy implementation “architecture”
- Act as an internal partner to functional and Business Group leaders, translating ELT direction into specific, sharp execution actions — including assessment of organizational gaps and white space, and coordination of external vendor support where required
- Manage and rationalize cross-functional dependencies, and hold the line on synergy realization
- Design the “architecture” for ongoing implementation activities, inclusive of evaluation, prioritization, sequencing, decision forums, escalation pathways, and outcome tracking. This includes frameworks that bring structure to competing priorities or dependencies: balancing capacity, risk, feasibility, timing, and enterprise fit.
- Lead or co-lead quarterly and/or monthly reviews with VP of Corporate Strategy, ensuring decisions are documented, clearly owned, and followed through
- Ensure consistency and stewardship of Enterprise Strategy messaging across implementation initiatives, employee touchpoints, and change management communications
