Server Assistant/In Room Dining Attendant

Servers Assistant is responsible for ensuring exceptional service to all guests that is consistent and continually in accordance with the Luminary Hotel & Co. service standards and standards of Mainsail Lodging & Development. Server Assistant supports front of the house service staff to ensure all areas function effectively. Responsible for general table maintenance and cleanliness of the restaurant in accordance to specification, in a courteous and efficient manner.Essential Functions
- Serves guests in an efficient courteous manner following the proper steps of service
- Responsible for setting tables, serving food orders and removing used plate ware and utensils
- Light food running when applicable, ability to carry plates that may be warm or hot
- Ability to handle station, or when situations arise, ability to let manager/supervisor know ahead of time so as not to affect the guest experience
- Polish glass ware, utensils, organize clean and soiled linen
- Perform other duties as management requests to service our guests
- Follow and complete procedures as they relate to In Room Dining (IRD), as needed
- Organize items and needs to be brought to room based on order, as needed
- Any other duties as requested by management
Qualification Standards
Education & Experience
- High School diploma or higher
- Previous hospitality experience required
- Excellent customer service skills
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to use technology e.g. tablets, iPads
Physical Demands
- Ability to lift 20 pounds or more
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to communicate clearly
- Corrected vision to normal range
- Ability to work long hours as needed
