As Business Development Director Service Logistics Middle East, you are responsible for driving new business growth and delivering an ambitious growth agenda across the Middle East. You identify, assess and win new sales opportunities, develop strategic customer relationships and lead negotiations to secure new business.

In this role, you manage new business opportunities and lead the end-to-end sales process for Service Logistics in the region, working closely with internal stakeholders to develop competitive solutions that meet customer needs. You will become a vital part of the Service Logistics regional team. Service Logistics is the market leader in aftermarket logistics, field service solutions and circular economy.

Preferred location: United Arab Emirates (UAE). Candidates currently based in the UAE are preferred. The employment offer, including compensation and benefits, will be aligned with the terms and conditions applicable in the country of employment and local market conditions.

What you will do

You drive business development across the Middle East, building customer relationships and converting strategic opportunities into profitable growth.
Develop and execute growth plans for Service Logistics, including the proactive development of selected target accounts
Build and nurture relationships with key decision-makers to understand customer requirements and business objectives
Research strategically prioritized markets and identify new business opportunities
Target opportunities in Technology, Medical Equipment, Engineering & Manufacturing and Automobility, after-market logistics, circular economy and network operations solutions
Lead the growth development agenda for the Data Centre Logistics ecosystem in Middle East region
Develop structured plans to win opportunities and assess their business fit with DHL Service Logistics
Manage RFQ opportunities and lead the sales process, ensuring quality and commercial standards are met
Work closely with Tender Management, Operations, HR, IT, Legal and Finance to coordinate input and actions on new business projects
Act as the interface between customers and internal functions, ensuring a smooth flow of information throughout solution development
Analyze and interpret data with functional experts to support competitive and commercially sound proposals
Present compelling solution proposals and business cases to customers and senior management
Lead contract negotiations and close deals to deliver ambitious growth targets
Contribute as a senior member of the global Service Logistics Business Development team, sharing best practices and supporting coordinated customer targeting

Who you are: You are a results-driven business development leader with strong commercial acumen and experience operating in complex international supply chain environments.

Proven experience in Business Development, General Management within complex supply chain environments, preferably with a focus on aftermarket logistics
Proven business experience in one or more of the focus sectors: Technology, Data Centre, Medical Devices, Automobility, New Energy
A proactive, can-do attitude, with demonstrated resilience and perseverance when facing challenges
Strong general business and financial acumen, enabling you to navigate complex projects and drive effective decisions
Regional experience in MEA and willingness to travel approximately 25% of the time
Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills
Excellent organizational, planning and presentation skills, with the ability to lead C-level conversations focused on business priorities
Logical thinking and creative problem-solving skills, combined with attention to detail
Fluency in English is essential, Fluency in Arabic is an advantage

In this leadership role, you will work with customers and colleagues across EMEA and other global regions to develop solutions that support their operational needs and long-term business objectives.

You will collaborate closely with regional operational teams and internal specialists, while contributing to the global Service Logistics Business Development team through customer targeting, knowledge sharing and best commercial practices.
