Early Careers and Student Experience brings together the end-to-end recruitment and candidate experience for student hires with the delivery of professional qualifications, apprenticeships and relevant learning pathways for student hires and employees continuing their professional development. The service is accountable for delivering a consistent high-quality experience, building a diverse future talent pipeline and strengthening the capability EY needs to support its long-term growth.
The opportunity
Lead the offshore delivery Student Hire and Professional Qualification administration as one resilient, high-performing service. You will manage the Early Careers and Student Experience Team Leaders, with overall accountability for people leadership, service performance, quality, controls, capacity and continuous improvement. The role will be working in a European Time Zone.
Key responsibilities
- Take overall accountability for offshore delivery across the agreed Student Hire and Student Experience service scope
- Lead, coach and develop the Early Careers team Leaders and Student Experience Team Leader, holding them accountable for people leadership and operational delivery
- Ensure both services meet agreed service levels, quality standards, controls and data-protection requirements, with clear action on errors root causes and material risks
- Maintain an integrated view of demand, capacity, productivity, backlogs, quality and risk, flexing resource and activating contingency plans where required
- Act as the senior operational escalation point for complex service, stakeholder, people, data and control issues
- Build effective relationships with onshore European Time Zone Talent stakeholders, process owners and subject-matter experts, agreeing priorities, decision rights and service expectations
- Lead performance and governance discussions with the Service Owner, providing transparent reporting, forward-looking insight and clear ownership of actions
- Drive standardisation, cross-training, succession planning and continuous improvement to strengthen capability, resilience and service efficiency
Skills and experience
- Significant experience leading high-volume operational services through Team Leaders or other people managers
- Strong service-management capability across capacity planning, performance, quality, governance and issue resolution
- Ability to lead related service areas as one function while maintaining clear ownership and accountability
- Strong analytical judgement, translating operational data into decisions and corrective action
- Credible stakeholder manager, able to challenge constructively, negotiate priorities and manage expectations
- Experience leading change and continuous improvement across offshore or multi-location services, with a sound understanding of controls, confidentiality and data protection
- Capability to leverage AI and recruitment technology to improve productivity, generate insight, support decision making and enhance stakeholder and candidate experiences
Preferred experience
- Experience supporting Early Careers (Campus) recruitment and onboarding, professional qualifications, apprenticeships or student programmes
- Experience establishing service measures, quality assurance frameworks and governance forums
- Experience of transferring, stabilising or improving services across locations
