JOB SUMMARY

The Senior Manager, Learning Delivery and Pre-Openings is responsible for leading the delivery, coordination, and continuous improvement of Learning and Development (L+D) programs & projects across Asia Pacific Excluding China (APEC), including foundational leadership development, enterprise mindset workouts, train-the-trainer programs, talent development programs, pre-opening workshops, and ad hoc learning initiatives.

This role facilitates learning programs for property and above-property associates & leaders, while supporting the ongoing capability development of Property L+D Leaders, the International Management Trainer Network (IMTN), and other future Market Champion programs. 

The role will balance direct program delivery with efforts to strengthen local learning capability across the continent. The Senior Manager independently leads assigned projects and initiatives, supports the localization and deployment of global programs, and identifies opportunities to improve processes, leverage technology, and enhance the effectiveness and scalability of learning delivery across APEC.

This position is posted in Singapore; however, the location may be flexible within major APEC markets, depending on the successful candidate’s suitability and location. 

CANDIDATE PROFILE 

Experience

• Demonstrated leadership experience, preferably as a member of a hotel Executive Committee or in a comparable senior leadership role.
• Experience leading and developing people, preferably through direct people leadership responsibilities, including coaching, delegation and developing leadership capability.
• Broad hotel, hospitality, or related field experience and exposure across multiple disciplines
• Strong facilitation, presentation, and public speaking skills, with experience delivering training, leading workshops, or engaging senior leadership audiences.
• Experience managing projects, programs, or initiatives involving multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
• Ability to build credibility and trusted relationships with senior stakeholders & senior program audiences.
• Strong business acumen and an enterprise mindset, with the ability to balance property, market, continent, and organizational priorities.
• Experience supporting organizational change, capability building, or talent development initiatives preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to embrace new technology and innovative approaches to improve effectiveness, simplify processes, and enhance learning outcomes.
• Experience working in a multicultural and geographically dispersed environment preferred.

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES 

Learning Delivery & Program Operations

• Coordinates and delivers a broad range of L+D programs, including leadership & talent development programs, enterprise mindset workouts, train-the-trainers, pre-opening alignment workshops and other continent or market learning initiatives.
• Oversees the planning and execution of assigned programs, ensuring materials, communications, enrollments, participant requirements, and logistics are effectively managed.
• Supports the localization, adaptation, translation, and deployment of global learning programs to meet the needs of APEC audiences.
• Ensures learning programs deliver a high-quality participant experience and achieve intended business and development outcomes.

Property L+D, Market Champion and IMTN Capability Building

• Supports the onboarding, engagement, and development of Property L+D Leaders, IMTNs and Market Champions through onboarding, education webinars, engagement, and capability-building initiatives.
• Encourages collaboration and sharing of best practices across IMTNs and Market Champion programs.
• Provides guidance, resources, and support to Market Champions to strengthen local delivery capability and program sustainability.
• Supports the continuous improvement of capability-building programs and resources across the region.

Program and Project Leadership

• Independently manages assigned learning, talent development, capability-building, and pre-opening projects from planning through implementation.
• Coordinates stakeholders, timelines, communications, resources, and deliverables to ensure successful execution of assigned initiatives. 
• Identifies opportunities to improve programs, processes, and participant experiences while supporting evolving business and talent priorities.
• Provides practical recommendations and solutions to address learning, capability, and operational challenges.

Innovation and Continuous Improvement

• Identifies opportunities to simplify, standardize, and improve learning and development processes and ways of working.
• Leverages technology, automation, AI, and digital tools to improve efficiency, scalability, and the learner experience.
• Supports process redesign initiatives that strengthen operational effectiveness and reduce administrative complexity.
