We are looking for a talented YDA Manufacturing Engineer – Senior to join our Cummins Drivetrain and Braking Systems (CDBS) Manufacturing team located in York, SC.      

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:       

Build Strong Cross-Functional Partnerships: Collaborate effectively with manufacturing, engineering, maintenance, quality, and operations teams to achieve shared business and production objectives.
Drive Clear Communication: Deliver timely and effective communication to stakeholders, ensuring manufacturing improvements, project updates, and operational priorities are clearly understood.
Champion Safety Excellence: Promote a culture of safety by identifying risks, supporting corrective actions, and contributing to a safe, healthy, and injury-free work environment.
Optimize Manufacturing Processes: Apply manufacturing knowledge and engineering drawing interpretation to develop and improve processes that meet product design, quality, and production requirements.
Support Equipment & Capital Investments: Participate in the selection, procurement, and implementation of manufacturing equipment that supports operational efficiency, capacity, and business goals.
Leverage Data-Driven Manufacturing Solutions: Utilize manufacturing analysis, simulation tools, and performance data to evaluate process changes, reduce risk, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Enhance Workplace & Process Design: Design and improve workstations, tooling, fixtures, and manufacturing documentation to create safe, ergonomic, standardized, and efficient production environments.
Solve Complex Manufacturing Challenges: Apply structured problem-solving methodologies to identify root causes, implement sustainable corrective actions, reduce waste, and improve quality, productivity, and customer outcomes.
