issues specific to material follow up. Manage material flow from suppliers through to the parts distribution centers. Refers to operational standards and processes to make decisions impacting supplier ship dates and overall customer requirements. Interacts and owns relationship with suppliers on behalf of the customer to ensure parts are shipped on time. Position is based out of Warren Michigan.
This position is located onsite with our customer in Warren, MI. Candidate must be willing to work 3 days onsite with an expectation that there could be a need to work 5 days (M-F) onsite.
Shift:
Monday thru Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm
Major Responsibilities:
- Monitor suppliers and perform follow up on parts to ensure shipment deadlines are met.
- Timely and accurately communicate and document critical information to internal associates and the customers.
- Ensure proper escalation is performed when supplier is not meeting ship dates.
- Partner with team to communicate and driver performance standards.
- Identify continuous improvement areas.
- Other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor.
