Your ‘day to day’
As a Scientist Consumer Sciences Projects you will represent end‑to‑end Consumer Sciences support within R&D, by leading the development and implementation of fit‑for‑purpose consumer tools with a specific focus on Sensory Science, delivering seamless and consumer‑centric testing projects, and coordinating cross‑functional projects to ensure robust assessment of product and sensory experience in support of rapid innovation.
More specifically, you will:
- Lead Consumer Sciences projects (with a focus on Sensory Science) by defining research objectives, designing appropriate sensory and consumer methodologies, and coordinating internal experts and external partners within agreed timelines and resources.
- Generate actionable insights to guide product development by analyzing and interpreting sensory and consumer data, communicating clear recommendations to R&D teams, and ensuring proper data documentation and knowledge management in line with internal and regulatory standards.
- Develop and manage sensory research capabilities by overseeing end-to-end delivery with external agencies, ensuring methodological rigor, alignment on protocols, and high-quality, timely, and actionable outputs.
- Drive continuous improvement of Consumer Sciences approaches by contributing to the development and standardization of methodologies, tools, and best practices, with a particular focus on advancing sensory science capabilities.
- Translate consumer insights into product direction by identifying key consumer needs and converting them into clear sensory and technical requirements, ensuring strong integration of the consumer perspective into product development.
- Ensure high quality, compliant study delivery by maintaining scientific rigor, operational excellence, and adherence to PMI and regulatory standards.
Who we’re looking for
- Master’s in science or equivalent in area of specialization (e.g. Consumer Sciences, Sensory science…)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in an R&D environment in the field of fast-evolving, fast-to-deliver consumer goods environment
- Demonstrated experience of applying sensory methodologies and managing external consumer research (qualitative and quantitative) to develop products.
- Sound ability to collaborate, engage, communicate and present in multi-functional environments.
- Passionate about bringing the voice of the consumers into the design of our products
- Curious and eager to learn and understand our products.
- Proficiency in English, both written and oral
