Summary/Objective:

Responsible for the technical/operational leadership of engineering effort on complex development programs within guidelines set by program manager and customer.  Works alongside Responsible Engineer (RE) to define, generate and review project requirements documentation and to analyze and refine project requirements.  Directs project engineering effort to ensure work scope, schedule and budget are on-track, addressing challenges as they arise.  Assists program manager in the coordination between resource managers/supervisors and ensures all necessary reviews and approvals are received.  Direct oversight of engineering and related support budget, working hand-in-hand with program management to achieve earned value results.  Responsible for supporting program management in the conduct of performance/project reviews during life cycle of development through production transfer.
