Department Summary
The Emergency Department is a 21-bed, full-service unit providing 24/7 emergency care to patients of all ages presenting with acute illnesses, injuries, and traumatic conditions. Our multidisciplinary team delivers rapid assessment, stabilization, treatment, and coordination of care for a broad spectrum of conditions ranging from minor illnesses and injuries to life-threatening medical and traumatic emergencies. Care provided includes emergency assessment, resuscitation, cardiac and stroke care, trauma stabilization, behavioral health support, and coordination of inpatient and specialty services. In our fast-paced environment, we are committed to delivering timely, compassionate, patient-centered care and achieving exceptional patient outcomes.
General Summary
Provides nursing care to patients at an advanced level of practice. Takes patient vital signs, assists with procedures/examinations, administers medications, assists patient with activities of daily living (bathing, feeding, etc.) and instructs patients and their families in appropriate care.
