- Kforce's client in Arlington, VA is seeking an experienced Project Billing & Revenue Analyst to support project accounting operations within a government contracting environment. This individual must be a current, hands on user of Deltek Costpoint and possess strong experience with project billing, revenue recognition, and contract setup across various contract types. The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of project lifecycle accounting and be able to independently manage billing and revenue processes while partnering with project managers, finance, and contracts teams. Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review customer invoices within Deltek Costpoint
- Calculate and analyze project revenue in accordance with contract requirements
- Review project setup, labor categories, funding limits, ceilings, and contract modifications
- Monitor unbilled receivables, deferred revenue, and revenue variances
- Research and resolve billing discrepancies and contract related issues
- Perform monthly revenue calculations, reconciliations, and reporting
- Partner with Project Managers and Contracts teams to ensure project financial accuracy
- Assist with month end close activities related to project accounting and revenue
- Ensure compliance with company policies and government contracting requirements
- Support billing and revenue recognition for:
- Fixed Price contracts
- Time & Materials (T&M) contracts
- Cost Reimbursable contracts
Requirements
- 3+ years of project billing and revenue recognition experience
- Experience billing and recognizing revenue on Fixed Price, T&M, and Cost Reimbursable contracts
- Must be a power user of Deltek Costpoint
- Strong understanding of project accounting principles
- Advanced Excel skills including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUPs, and financial analysis
- Strong analytical and problem solving abilities
- Ability to work independently with minimal training
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
