The Security Professional Branch Flex Officer will serve and safeguard clients across a wide range of industries, including healthcare, education, finance, retail, and more. In this role, you can expect to work 30–40 hours per week, offering steady income and opportunities for growth. Your schedule will vary week to week, based on a combination of manager-assigned shifts and those you pick up through our Earn More, Claim-A-Shift self-scheduling program. Shifts, days, locations, and assignments will change regularly, making this an ideal opportunity for individuals who are adaptable, dependable, and ready to take on new challenges. Please note that you will be assigned to work irregular shifts with little to no advance notice to support client needs.

Pay Rate: $18.48 / Hour

1. Age Requirement (C101):

   • Candidates must be at least 21 years of age at the time of application. This requirement is in place to comply with legal regulations and to ensure a mature and responsible workforce.

   • Pre-Employment Requirements

     Access Control/Badge Experience (B201)
     Candidates must demonstrate familiarity with access control systems and badge management protocols. This includes understanding how to issue, revoke, and manage access badges for employees and visitors.

     X-Ray Screening Experience (B218)
     Candidates must possess experience in operating X-ray screening equipment and understanding safety protocols associated with its use. This includes knowledge of regulatory compliance and the ability to identify potential security threats.

2. Branch Flex – Last Minute Shift Scheduling (C165)

• • Requirement: Candidates must demonstrate flexibility in their availability to accommodate last-minute shift changes.
  • Expectation: Applicants should be prepared to receive notifications regarding shift changes with minimal notice and be willing to adjust their schedules accordingly.
  • Communication: Candidates will be informed of this requirement during the interview process and must confirm their understanding and willingness to comply.

3. Branch Flex – Reliable Transportation (C163)

• • Requirement: Candidates must have reliable transportation to ensure timely arrival at work.
  • Expectation: Applicants should be able to provide proof of transportation arrangements, whether personal or public, that will enable them to meet their scheduled shifts consistently.
  • Communication: This requirement will be discussed during the interview, and candidates may be asked to provide details about their transportation plans.

4. Branch Flex – Travel Distance (C164)

• • Requirement: Candidates must be able to commute to the designated work location within a reasonable distance.
  • Expectation: Applicants should assess their travel time and distance to ensure they can arrive punctually for their shifts.
  • Communication: During the application process, candidates will be asked about their commuting distance and any potential challenges they foresee.

5. Branch Flex – Work Varying Shifts

1. 1. Requirement: Candidates must be willing to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
   2. Expectation: Applicants should be adaptable and open to a flexible work schedule that may change based on business needs.
   3. Communication: This requirement will be clearly outlined in job postings and discussed during interviews to ensure candidates are fully aware of the expectations.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards
• Sound alarms or calls police or fire department in case of fire or presence of unauthorized persons
• Warn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles
• Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitors entrances and exits
• Observe departing personnel to protect against theft of company property and ensures that authorized removal of property is conducted within appropriate client requirements
• Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities; maintain written logs as required by the post
• Aid customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner
• Make emergency notifications as necessary pursuant to site Post Orders

Basic Qualifications:

• Must be available to work varying shifts, including holidays, nights, and weekends.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must be available for last-minute shift scheduling.
• Must be able to travel varying distances.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
