Quality and Process Manager - Venice Simplon-Orient-Express

The Quality & Process Manager ensures the quality, compliance, availability, and traceability of technical spare parts and maintenance processes across the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express fleet. The role combines quality oversight, supplier management, and technical procurement in strict alignment with railway regulations—specifically EU Regulation 2019/779 (ECM) and internal/external audit requirements.
By bridging technical procurement with rigorous regulatory compliance, audit readiness, and continuous improvement, the role supports safe, reliable, and fully certified luxury train operations throughout Europe. The role combines quality management, supplier performance oversight, and procurement of technical components in support of safe, compliant, and efficient railway operations
The position supports maintenance and certification requirements while ensuring that spare parts, materials, and technical services are sourced in line with operational needs, technical specifications, regulatory obligations, and budget objectives
Requirements
- Experience in railway maintenance, quality assurance, auditing, or technical procurement.
- Knowledge of EU Regulation 2019/779 and ECM functions (ECM 3 and ECM 4).
- Experience in audit coordination, KPI monitoring, non-conformity management, and corrective actions.
- Skills in technical spare parts procurement, supplier qualification, negotiation, and quality monitoring.
- Knowledge of maintenance planning, traceability, configuration management, and technical documentation control.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and maintenance management systems (CMMS/ERP).
- Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Fluency in English; additional European languages are an advantage
