Your Day to Day
The Bellman is responsible for providing a warm welcome and exceptional guest service by assisting guests with their luggage and ensuring a seamless arrival and departure experience. The role involves handling and delivering luggage, assisting guests with directions and requests, and supporting the Front Office and Concierge teams in delivering personalized and memorable guest experiences in line with the hotel's luxury service standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome guests warmly upon arrival and assist with their luggage from their vehicles to the reception area and guest rooms.
- Assist departing guests with luggage collection and transportation to their vehicles, ensuring a smooth departure experience.
- Handle, transport, and deliver guest luggage and personal belongings safely and efficiently.
- Escort guests to their rooms when required, providing information about hotel facilities and services.
- Assist guests with directions, inquiries, and requests while maintaining a courteous and professional approach.
- Deliver messages, packages, parcels, and other items to guest rooms and hotel departments promptly and accurately.
- Support the Concierge team with guest errands and other assigned duties.
- Assist with lobby operations, including opening doors and maintaining a welcoming environment for guests.
- Coordinate with the Front Office and Concierge teams to ensure efficient luggage handling and guest assistance.
- Assist with room changes by transferring guest luggage and belongings safely between rooms.
- Handle incoming and outgoing guest mail and packages in accordance with hotel procedures.
- Assist with newspaper distribution and other guest-related requests as required.
- Ensure the proper handling, storage, and security of guest luggage and personal belongings.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and proper upkeep of luggage trolleys and designated storage areas.
- Report guest concerns, incidents, or unusual occurrences promptly to the Concierge Supervisor or relevant manager.
- Comply with hotel policies, grooming standards, health and safety procedures, and security regulations.
Demonstrate a positive attitude, teamwork, and flexibility in supporting daily hotel operations.
What We Are Looking For
- Previous experience as a Bellman, Bell Attendant, or in a similar guest-facing role is preferred.
- Experience in a five-star or luxury hotel environment is an advantage.
- Good verbal communication skills in English; additional languages are an asset.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a friendly, welcoming, and professional attitude.
- Physically fit and capable of handling guest luggage safely.
- Good knowledge of hotel facilities, services, and local attractions.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high service standards.
- Strong teamwork skills and a willingness to assist colleagues and guests.
Flexibility to work rotating shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
