主な責任
- NAND回路ブロックの設計、シミュレーション、最適化、およびフロアプランニングを行う。
- 設計の実現可能性を評価し、さまざまなユースケースにおける回路機能を解析する。
- 性能および信頼性の仕様を満たすアナログ／ミックスドシグナル回路設計を実装する。
- 業界標準のシミュレーションツールを用いて、ブロックレベルおよびチップレベルで設計性能を検証する。
- 複数の職能・タイムゾーンにまたがる環境で連携しながら、NANDのダイサイズ、性能、消費電力、信頼性、品質、コスト、および市場投入までの期間を継続的に改善する。
- EDAツールと連携するPythonベースのAIユーティリティを構築・保守し、開発ワークフローを加速する（例：環境セットアップ、コーナー実行、回帰テスト、自動ドキュメント作成、予測型ビルド／レイアウト）。
- 既存のユーザードキュメントをレビューし、新たなビルド関連資料を作成する。
- プロダクトエンジニアリング、テスト、プローブ、プロセスインテグレーション、アセンブリ、マーケティングなどの部門と連携し、製造容易性、コスト、信頼性、および市場投入までの期間を最適化する。
理想的な候補者像
理想的な候補者は、何よりもまず、複雑な回路課題を自立して解決できる優れたアナログ／ミックスドシグナル設計者です。加えて、AIに対する探究心を持ち、コーディングに抵抗がなく、エンジニアリング上の課題を実用的なエージェントベースのフローへ変換する意欲が求められます。実験的な取り組みと規律ある検証のバランスを取り、AIが技術レビューを置き換えるのではなく、エンジニアの判断を強化するように活用できることが重要です。
必須条件
- 電気工学の学士号を必須とし、修士号／博士号または同等の経験が望ましい。NAND設計に関連する業界経験として、シニア職は2年以上、スタッフ職は4年以上を必須とする。
- 高い自己動機付けと主体性。
- アナログ／ミックスドシグナル回路設計（チャージポンプ、オペアンプ、DAC、ADC、リニアレギュレータ、発振器、バンドギャップ）に関する高い習熟度。
- 半導体・デバイス物理およびアナログ／ミックスドシグナル回路設計の確かな基礎知識。CHC、NBTI、ストレス、スナップバックなどの半導体信頼性課題に加え、エレクトロマイグレーション（EM）およびIR解析に関する理解。
- 回路デバッグおよび問題解決に関する高い能力。
- 回路の検証・最適化、レイアウト計画、寄生素子抽出、およびレイアウト指導の経験。
- 信頼性の高いエンジニアリングAIアプリケーションに必要な、ツール呼び出し、検索、評価フレームワーク、ガードレール、およびヒューマン・イン・ザ・ループ型レビューに関する知識。
- 優れたチームワーク姿勢。英語での良好な口頭コミュニケーション能力、および複雑な技術概念を口頭・文書で明確に伝える能力。
望ましい条件
- HSPICE、Fast SPICE、Verilogなどのアナログ／デジタルシミュレータに関する知識。
- Cadence設計環境およびLVS／DRCツールの使用経験があれば尚可。

Job Description
As a Sr. Design Engineer / Staff Design Engineer in the NVE Design Engineering Analog Design Group at Micron Technology, Inc., you will contribute to the development of memory products that are best-in-class, using your specialized knowledge and Micron proprietary methods of designing and analyzing core and mixed circuits used in the development of memory products.
Responsibilities
- Design, simulate, optimize, and floor‑plan NAND circuit blocks.
- Evaluate design feasibility and analyze circuit functionality across use cases.
- Implement analog and mixed‑signal circuit designs that meet performance and reliability specifications.
- Validate design performance at block‑ and chip‑level using industry‑standard simulation tools.
- Continuously improve NAND die size, performance, power consumption, reliability, quality, cost, and time-to-market , including collaborating in a multi-functional, multi-time zone working environment.
- Build and maintain Python‑based AI utilities that collaborate with EDA tools to accelerate development workflows (e.g., environment setup, corner execution, regressions, automated documentation, predictive build/layout).
- Review existing user documentation and generate new build collateral.
- Collaborate with groups such as Product Engineering, Test, Probe, Process Integration, Assembly, and Marketing to ensure optimized manufacturability, cost, reliability, and time‑to‑market.
Ideal Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is first and foremost a strong analog and mixed-signal designer who can independently solve complex circuit problems. In addition, the candidate is curious about AI, comfortable writing code, and motivated to convert engineering pain points into practical agent-based flows. The candidate should balance experimentation with disciplined validation, ensuring that AI augments engineering judgment rather than replacing technical review.
Minimum Qualifications:
- MS/PhD or equivalent experience preferred, BS in electrical engineering required. 2+ (Sr) or 4+ (Staff) years of NAND design relevant industry experience required.
- A high level of self-motivation.
- Proficiency in analog/mixed signal circuit design (charge pumps, op amps, DACs, ADCs, linear regulators, oscillators, bandgaps)
- Good fundamentals in semiconductor and device physics and analog/mixed-signal circuit design. An understanding of semiconductor reliability issues including CHC, NBTI, stress, and snapback, as well as Electromigration (EM) and IR analysis.
- Strong circuit debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Experience of circuit verification and optimization, layout planning, parasitic extractions of the circuits, experience guiding layout.
- Familiarity with tool-calling, retrieval, evaluation frameworks, guardrails, and human-in-the-loop review for reliable engineering AI applications.
- Excellent teamwork attitude. Good verbal communication skills (English) and ability to convey complex technical concepts in verbal and written form.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of analog and digital simulators such as HSPICE, Fast SPICE, and Verilog
- Familiarity with Cadence design, LVS/DRC tools (a plus).
- Experience with a scripting language.
- Familiarity with Linux/UNIX
