Overview

The Microsoft Quantum team is redefining what is possible with technology, creating unprecedented possibilities to solve humanity’s most complex challenges. Our team combines hardware innovation with software technologies and Azure services to build scalable quantum technologies in an industry-leading quantum ecosystem.

At Microsoft Quantum, we aim to empower science and scientists to solve the world’s biggest problems by realizing advanced computing platforms at the intersection of high-performance computing, artificial intelligence (AI), and quantum information technology. Microsoft Quantum will change the world of computing and help solve some of humankind’s currently unsolvable problems. We are looking for a Quantum Systems Operations Engineer to own the operational backbone that keeps our cryogenic labs moving: Material readiness for dilution-refrigerator upgrades and the running of vendor operations. This person makes sure upgrade kits are staged and complete before the install crew needs them, and that the vendor machine (intake, budgets, contracts, and records) keeps turning without any single person becoming the bottleneck for every transaction. You will work daily with electrical, mechanical, cryogenic, software, and lab-operations teams, as well as external suppliers.

At Microsoft, our mission—to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more—guides how we partner with customers to deliver trusted, impactful solutions. With a growth mindset culture, we innovate responsibly and measure success by shared progress—people, teams, and customers. Join us to do meaningful work that changes the world and helps shape what’s next for everyone.
