Job Description:
The House Person supports the housekeeping department by ensuring public areas are clean, supplies are stocked, and guest requests are fulfilled promptly. This role is crucial for maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and guest satisfaction throughout the hotel.
Responsibilities:
- Clean and maintain all public areas of the hotel, including lobbies, hallways, restrooms, elevators, stairwells, and meeting rooms, to company standards.
- Vacuum, sweep, mop, dust, and polish surfaces as required.
- Empty trash receptacles and transport waste to designated areas.
- Restock public restrooms with supplies (toilet paper, soap, paper towels).
- Deliver guest requests such as extra towels, toiletries, or other amenities.
- Assist housekeepers with stripping beds and removing soiled linens from guest rooms as needed.
- Transport clean linens and supplies to housekeeping carts and storage areas.
- Monitor and report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or damaged property to management.
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of meeting rooms and event spaces.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of linen closets and storage areas.
- Respond to guest inquiries and provide assistance in a friendly and professional manner.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a hotel housekeeping or janitorial role is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull moderate to heavy loads (up to 50 lbs) regularly.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
Shift:
Full Time; 1 PM - 9 PM
