Summary:

This role owns the brand and commercialization strategy for Thailand, serving as the key Marketing partner to the Country Manager and local commercial team. It drives profitable growth by translating consumer, shopper and category insights into strong brand strategies, while leading end-to-end brand building across positioning, communications, innovation, media, portfolio, pricing and commercialization. The role will also work closely with the social commerce team to strengthen the brand’s online presence and drive consumer engagement, while partnering with agencies and cross-functional teams to deliver strong local execution and business results.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Strategy

• Own short- to mid-term brand/category strategy and business reviews, with clear choices on where to play and how to win.
• Build a deep understanding of Thailand consumers, customers, channels and competitors; turn growth barriers/opportunities into recommendations.
• Act as the senior brand-side Marketing lead for Thailand, partnering the Country Manager and local commercial team and influencing without direct authority.
• Lead local, regional and global initiatives independently; bring recommendations and a clear point of view, not only facts and analysis.

Financials

• Own assigned-brand P&L and deliver profit, revenue, margin, share and penetration/demand objectives.
• Partner Sales, RGM, Finance and Supply Chain on pricing, promotion, distribution, channels/customers, forecast and supply to maximize profitable growth.

Innovation

• Lead NPD and portfolio commercialization from insight and business case through launch, learning and scale-up.
• Build new growth capabilities where no playbook exists (e.g., channel, social-commerce model, content engine, creator ecosystem) and support MEA/business cases.

Consumer Communication

• Lead brand positioning, communication and media, ensuring local relevance and alignment to brand equity.
• Own digital/social-native demand creation across TikTok/social commerce, creators/affiliates, short-form, livestreaming and performance commerce, understanding how content, product proof, algorithms and commerce connect.
• Write strong briefs, raise agency/creative quality, and decide what to own internally, automate or outsource.

Processes

• Own S&OP Steps 1-2 and propose risks/opportunities with clear actions.
• Own monthly retail, consumer and commercial analytics; validate business size, assumptions and growth drivers.
• Analyze sales, share, penetration, NPD and campaign/social-commerce performance; turn signals into recommendations and actions.
• Run disciplined experiments using real-time data and AI-enabled tools; stop weak ideas and scale winners quickly.

People Management

• Coach and mentor team members (Senior Associates and/or Associates), role-modeling ownership, curiosity and learning agility.
• Partner Global/Regional Marketing and agencies, constructively challenge thinking and align stakeholders behind the best recommendation.
• Work closely with Country GM/Country Manager, Sales Director and local teams to deliver execution and represent Marketing credibly at senior forums.

Required Skills / Experience / Competencies:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing or a related field. Master’s/MBA is preferred.
• Ideally 6-9 years of Marketing/Commercial experience in a strong FMCG/consumer organization, owning a meaningful brand/category with solid fundamentals in positioning, communication, innovation, media, portfolio and commercialization.
• Proven business-growth track record - e.g., increasing penetration/households, share or revenue; changing a trajectory; launching successfully; or solving difficult commercial problems - with strong P&L and cross-functional commercial judgment.
• Thailand experience is desirable; otherwise able to build deep market understanding quickly from outside the market and work effectively from Malaysia.
• Hands-on social-commerce demand creation (e.g., TikTok, creators/affiliates, short-form, livestreaming, performance commerce), beyond agency/media-plan management.
• Builder mentality: created or scaled a new channel, capability, operating model, content engine or creator ecosystem.
• Fast, analytical test-and-learn mindset; comfortable with imperfect information and scaling winners quickly.
• AI-forward curiosity, with examples of using AI to improve insight, content/testing, productivity or decisions.
• Strong agency/partner leadership and creative judgment; knows what to own, automate or outsource.
• High leadership trajectory: curiosity, courage, learning agility, executive communication and maturity to influence senior stakeholders with clear recommendations.
