Structural CAD/BIM Designer

The Structural CAD/BIM Designer supports the delivery of water, wastewater, and infrastructure projects through the development of structural BIM models, construction documents, and digital design deliverables. Working under the direction of structural engineers and senior designers, this role contributes to project delivery from concept through construction while applying Stantec Digital Delivery and BIM standards.
Key Responsibilities- Develop structural BIM models and construction drawings using Revit, Inventor, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and Autodesk Forma (AFC).
- Prepare plans, sections, elevations, details, schedules, and quantity takeoffs for reinforced concrete, masonry, and structural steel facilities.
- Support project delivery from preliminary design through Issued for construction (IFC) documents, including revisions, coordination, and document production.
- Coordinate structural models and drawings with civil, process, mechanical, electrical, and architectural disciplines.
- Apply Digital Execution Plans (DxP), CAD/BIM standards, and AF workflows to project deliverables.
- Participate in model reviews, clash detection, constructability reviews, and multidisciplinary coordination meetings.
- Provide technical support and mentoring to junior CAD/BIM staff.
- Assist with the development and maintenance of structural drafting standards, BIM content, and standard details.
