Senior Sales Engineer - Fire Systems

Johnson Controls is seeking a Senior Sales Engineer to support our Fire Protection and Security Systems business in Oman region. Based in Oman, you will join the Sales-Contracting Team (Oil & Gas) and help expand our footprint and customer base in support of our growth objectives.
Role Overview
In this role, you will combine technical understanding with sales execution to develop opportunities, shape customer solutions, and support the tendering and bidding process for fire protection and security systems in the oil and gas sector.
What will you do
- Identify, qualify, pursue, and close new sales opportunities across Oman.
- Prepare competitive, high-quality proposals that address customer requirements, project scope, and commercial expectations.
- Support tendering and bidding activities through technical and commercial coordination with internal stakeholders.
- Position Johnson Controls through strong knowledge of fire protection, fire detection, fire & gas, and security systems.
- Use market awareness to understand competitor offerings, strategies, and positioning, and respond effectively during the sales cycle.
- Support pre-qualification and vendor registration activities with end users, consultants, contractors, and customers to position Johnson Controls for new opportunities. Manage and coordinate registrations, approvals, and compliance requirements including AVME registrations, ROP, PACDA approvals, and brand registrations. Organize and lead product presentations, technical workshops, and company profile sessions with end users, consultants, contractors, and customers to strengthen market presence and drive specification opportunities.
- Build and maintain long-term customer relationships with a focus on territory growth and repeat business.
- Work closely with engineering, sales, and contracting teams to support solution design, customer engagement, and deal progression.

What we look for
- Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical, Electronics, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
- Proven track record of delivering sales targets in Oman, with focus on fire & gas systems, fire protection systems, and security systems for the oil and gas industry.
- Ability to design technical solutions, select equipment, and advise customers on the best-fit solution.
- Sound business and technical knowledge.
- High-energy, results-driven approach with a strong sales mindset.
- Fluent English language skills.
- Valid Oman Driving License.
