Are you passionate about US and global equity markets? Are you an analytical, highly motivated professional with a strong understanding of market structure and a desire to develop as an institutional trader within a leading global asset manager?We are seeking an Equity Trader to join the UBS Asset Management Trading Desk in the United States. In this role, you will partner closely with portfolio managers, research teams, and senior traders to deliver best-in-class execution across a broad range of equity strategies while helping drive innovation and continuous improvement across the trading platform.
You will:
• execute cash equities, ETFs, and listed equity derivatives across U.S. and global markets on behalf of active and index investment strategies
• collaborate with portfolio managers and investment teams to develop and implement effective trading strategies, including liquidity analysis, trade construction, sizing, and execution planning
• monitor market conditions and provide timely insights on price action, liquidity dynamics, market structure, and macroeconomic developments
• analyze execution performance and transaction cost data, communicating actionable insights to portfolio managers and other key stakeholders
• support the continued evolution of trading processes through automation, workflow enhancements, and the adoption of AI-enabled trading and analytics tools
• ensure all trading activity complies with regulatory requirements, internal controls, fiduciary obligations, and best execution standards
• contribute to the growth and development of the trading platform, including expanding coverage across products, strategies, and asset classes where appropriate
• build and maintain strong relationships with brokers, liquidity providers, exchanges, and market participants to enhance execution outcomes for clients
• participate in trading desk initiatives aimed at improving efficiency, scalability, and risk management practices
