What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities at a utility location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; document and report security-related concerns according to site procedures.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify unauthorized activity, hazards, and conditions requiring attention.
- Monitor access points and verify credentials for authorized personnel, visitors, contractors, and deliveries in accordance with site-specific requirements.
- Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift communications while coordinating with site contacts and public emergency services when appropriate.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least two years of security-related experience.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Guard card is required.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 21+ years of age for role.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
