Cares about redefining how energy is designed, applied and consumed. Cares about thoughtfully growing to meet market demands. And ─ as “one of the Healthiest 100 Workplaces in America” ─ is focused on the mind/body/soul of team members through our Culture of Care.

The Modular Product Developer works within the Product Development organization to execute development activities for ETO Modular Product Platforms under the direction of Product Architects. This individual transforms conceptual requirements, sketches, technical direction, and evolving design decisions into accurate virtual prototypes, models, drawings, submittals, and supporting technical documentation.

The primary focus of this role is early concept development using Revit and other digital design tools to rapidly visualize, evaluate, and refine product solutions before design intent is established. The Product Developer maintains sufficient technical understanding of the complete product to accurately represent dimensions, clearances, interfaces, equipment arrangements, constructability, manufacturability, and site integration within concept-level models and documentation. As concepts mature, the Product Developer supports development and maintenance of master Revit models, reusable BIM content, product configuration content, Product Requirements Document (PRD) supporting information, Component Definition Documents (CDDs), specifications, scope documents and matrices, Illustrated Basis of Design (iBODs), client submittals, vendor- and site-specific submittals, permit submittals, ETO submittal packages, and early Long Lead Equipment (LLE) Bills of Material (BOMs).

The Modular Product Developer collaborates with Product Architects, peer Product Developers, Program Design Managers, Preconstruction, engineering disciplines, subject matter experts (SMEs), Virtual Design and Construction (VDC), Detailed Design, Construction Engineering, Procurement, Manufacturing, Construction, Operations, vendors, manufacturers, and other cross-functional stakeholders to incorporate requirements, constraints, design changes, and lessons learned into product development deliverables.

Success in this role requires strong technical modeling capability, product thinking, creativity, curiosity, attention to detail, and active participation in a collaborative product development environment. The Modular Product Developer is expected to understand how concept decisions affect downstream engineering, procurement, fabrication, manufacturing, construction integration, and overall product lifecycle performance.
