Managing Director, Pension & Retirement Plan Actuarial

Business Unit Leader | United States

About Infinity Constellation

Professional services firms have historically grown by adding headcount: more analysts, associates, and support staff to serve more clients. Infinity Constellation is built on a different thesis. A small team, led by an outstanding credentialed practitioner and paired with an AI backbone that handles everything else, can now do what used to take dozens of people.

We are building independent, high-margin business units (BUs) inside a single company. Each unit is built around one or two core people and supported by Infinity's technology platform and our engineering and product teams, which take over HR, accounting, finance, and data-processing work. The practitioner keeps selling the same service, to the same buyers, at the same or better quality, but serves far more clients per person.

Pension and retirement plan actuarial work is one of our three founding verticals.

The Role

We are looking for a Managing Director to found and lead Infinity's Pension & Retirement Plan Actuarial business unit. You will be the credentialed actuary whose sign-off stands behind the work, and the leader who builds the client base and defines the offering. You will build a practice that carries far more plans per person than a traditional actuarial shop, with Infinity building the tools that take over the analytical labor.

This is an entrepreneurial role with real upside: you shape the service offering, the team, and the tooling roadmap, and you share directly in the value you create.

About the Practice

Pension and retirement plan actuarial work covers the calculations and filings that keep employer retirement plans funded, compliant, and properly accounted for: funding valuations, accounting disclosures, and regulatory reporting. All of it ultimately requires a credentialed actuary's sign-off.

The market ranges from large, fully integrated providers that bundle actuarial consulting with recordkeeping, participant payouts, and investment management, to boutique regional firms doing $10-30M a year in revenue that few outside the industry have heard of. In most organizations, much of the underlying analysis is already performed by non-credentialed analysts using proprietary or third-party calculation software, with the actuary reviewing and signing off. That split between credentialed judgment and analytical labor is exactly what Infinity's AI backbone is built to take over.

The work is regulatory and recurring: plans need annual valuations and filings regardless of the broader economy.
