Job responsibility

Team Member-Access Planning is responsible for planning of Access Network – GPON, L2 switch, Transmission upgrades & new ring creation plans inclusive of connectivity for new buildings & green field rollouts.  

Major responsibilities include:

  1. Generate Planning Documents for capacity augmentations, new node/ring addition, Node addition, Segment Optimization. 
  2. Optimization of Transmission Nodes, Access & customer rings, Ring Splitting etc. 
  3. Plan access network & connectivity for new link delivery of customer requirements on best fit available media , 3rd Party Partners , NNI & GPON , L2 Switch.
  4. Plan the Radio access nodes for P2MP , P2P (UBR) & WiFi Mesh NW for buildings & events.
  5. Material planning (BoQ & BoM) of plans, material management (consumption of material projected)
  6. Understand the requirements for the Business needs & closure of FANs within the TAT.
  7. Capex planning for new orders & quote requests within the assigned TATs on all Media types like on-net wire line, wireless, 3rd party, BSO/Infra providers etc.
  8. Capex optimization by deciding the right media type.
  9. Feedback for GIS, AMS, Green Site list to stakeholders for regular updates to improve accuracy.
  10. Improve quote to order conversion ratio & provide inputs for process changes 
  11. Publishing daily, weekly, monthly dashboards                        

The aspirant for Team Member-Access Planning role must have in-depth understanding about Transmission Planning to deliver the same with the partners. 
Span of control: MS, TP, OEM Partners

  Necessary Preferred
Skills 
  • In depth Knowledge of data transmission technologies as per the current standards – SDH, Packet, OTN, DWDM etc
  • Should have hands on experience on the major technology products viz. ECI, Tejas, Nokia, Radwin etc.
  • Data Analytics on MS Excel, Mapinfo, Radio planning tools. 
 Working experience with prominent telecom operators, Service Providers, Vendors in similar setup & operations. 
Qualification B.E./B.Tech (Telecom/Communication/Instrumental)
Overall Work Experience 

8 to 10 Years in Transmission NW planning
