Job Summary:

The Account Specialist provides administrative, operational, and customer support for the sales and account management teams. Supports customer lifecycle activities, maintains account records and sales pipelines, coordinates customer communications, and helps improve the overall customer experience

Additional Information:

• This position is located in Kennett Square, PA.
• Domestic travel up to 10% is required.
• Domestic relocation assistance is not offered for this position.

What You Will Do

Sales & Operational Support

• Maintain and track sales leads, contracts, amendments, renewals, and customer records throughout the customer lifecycle.
• Monitor and report on sales activities, customer accounts, and renewal status, providing updates to internal stakeholders as needed.
• Track customer orders and support the contract-to-implementation process.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for customer inquiries related to products, services, contracts, and orders.
• Support order-to-delivery activities while ensuring compliance with customer, dealer, and business requirements.
• Maintain account databases, documentation, schedules, and sales-related records.
• Prepare reports and assist with process improvements that enhance customer support and operational efficiency.

Business Development & Account Management Support

• Conduct research on prospective and existing customers to identify growth opportunities and support account planning activities.
• Assist with maintaining sales pipelines and tracking account activity.
• Develop, update, and manage sales support materials, presentations, proposals, and customer-facing collateral.
• Coordinate logistics and preparation for customer meetings, presentations, demonstrations, and sales events.
• Support sales and account management teams with customer communications, follow-up activities, and relationship management efforts.

• Assists in preparing proposals and materials that demonstrate customer benefits.

Top Candidates Will Have

• Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
• Understanding of demand response, deregulated energy markets (PJM, ISO-NE, MISO, etc.), investor-owned utilities (IOUs), and/or regulated utility environments is a plus.

Summary Pay Range:

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
