Job Summary
Position responsible all phases of maintenance duties in the repair, alteration of buildings, equipment facilities and for physical plant operation.Job Description
Minimum Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or GED
Licenses/Certifications: (None)
Experience / Knowledge / Skills:
- 1 year experience or certificate of completion from a technical/trade school/military experience in an associated mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, electronics, general construction trade skill.
Principal Accountabilities
- Performs a variety of routine standard servicing/repair operations to maintain hospital buildings, equipment, furnishing, fixtures and ground in proper condition as directed.
- Performs urgent, corrective, routine and requisitioned repairs of electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems as required; performs preventative maintenance on equipment and physical structures as required, maintaining related records.
- Assists in maintaining and repairing HV/AC controls and associated equipment to maximize efficiency levels in all environmentally controlled areas.
- Ensures safe care to patients, staff and visitors, adheres to all Memorial Hermann policies, procedures, and standards within budgetary specifications including time management, supply management, productivity of service.
- Promotes individual professional growth and development by meeting requirements for mandatory/continuing education, skills competency, supports department-based goals which contribute to the success of the organization; serves as preceptor, mentor, and resource to less experienced staff.
