Overview

This role of Marketing Executive will support the Senior Marketing Manager of our Specialty business within the Financial Lines and Crisis Management teams. Additionally, they will provide support to the newly created Private Equity and M&A P&L. They should be a high-performing, self-motivated individual who can manage multiple projects successfully to achieve exceptional commercial results.

Our marketing activities focus on three core objectives:
Distinguishing the Gallagher brand from our peers;
Thought-leadership and insight-led campaigns that drive organic sales leads and revenue opportunities;
Contributing to a differentiated client experience that deepens retention and advocacy.

The Marketing Executive will play an integral role in creating value for clients through the delivery of integrated sales & marketing plans and campaigns that align to each business’s specific objectives and deliver on Gallagher’s near-term and longer-term growth aspirations. This includes effective collaboration within the broader marketing and communications team.

In addition to supporting the Specialty business, the Marketing Executive will also contribute to Gallagher’s European marketing efforts, ensuring content and activity is aligned with regional strategies.

The Marketing Executive will contribute to the delivery of our digital and social marketing plans to reach and engage target audiences. The aim is to increase conversion, improve customer journeys, and enhance the user experience throughout. This includes a focus on web metrics and ROI reporting.

How you'll make an impact

Responsibilities:

Support senior marketing colleagues in delivering marketing plans to support our corporate, divisional, and business aims.
Ensure all marketing activity is grounded in a strong understanding of business goals, products, industry, customer needs, and competitive opportunities.
Ensure all marketing activity follows the processes and best practices required to deliver excellent results.
Collaborate with internal marketing colleagues to ensure that marketing plans are agreed upon, delivered to deadline, and achieve the desired results. Frequently evaluate activity against the plan and review post-completion for areas to improve.
Understand campaign KPIs and communicate clearly back to the marketing team as required, particularly analytics.
Proactively identify new marketing opportunities as well as respond to requests from marketing colleagues.
Be creative in the approach to marketing and be willing to test and trial new activities.
Challenge the boundaries of marketing, ensuring all forms of media and channels are deployed when delivering campaigns.
Ensure necessary compliance sign-off for marketing activities, including FinProms approval.
Monitor industry and wider marketing best practices, as well as the activities of competitors, to ensure we stay one step ahead.
Write compelling and effective copy for marketing campaigns, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines and tone of voice.
Brief relevant teams, including creative and digital teams, to ensure the successful execution of marketing activities.

Stakeholder accountabilities

Develop key relationships within the wider marketing community and across the Gallagher group.
Work with Sales, Marketing & Communication colleagues to ensure marketing activity is joined up to deliver customer-centric and best in class marketing.
Demonstrate clear understanding of our core customer groups.

Operational excellence

Apply project and campaign management tools and best practice to ensure projects are delivered effectively, efficiently and to budget.
Always look for efficiencies in respect of how the team is working; identify issues and challenges early on and work with Senior Marketing Managers to develop tangible ways to improve performance.
Understand the changing regulatory and legal environment around marketing activities, ensure risks are factored in to all strategies and activities, flagging potential risks as required to senior management and putting in place all measures to suitable mitigate risk.
Adhere to brand guidelines and become an active champion of the brand.
Ensure necessary FinProms/compliance sign off is obtained in a timely fashion and in full adherence with corporate policies.
Carry out duties following internal policies and procedures in accordance with applicable laws, rules, regulation, good governance and Gallagher’s shared values, in particular, putting customers at the heart of our business.

About you

Qualifications:

Educated to degree standard or higher (desirable) or equivalent experience.

Experience:

3+ years of marketing experience in either a commercial sector or agency setting, ideally financial services.
Execution of social media and email marketing campaigns.
Execution of marketing projects adhering to best practice marketing principles.
Experience of delivery of End-to-End marketing campaigns.
Experience of managing internal stakeholders, and working as part of a wider marketing function.
