About the Role

At Havenwood of Buffalo, you'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference every day while serving seniors in a warm, hospitality-focused environment. We're looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Cook to join our Culinary Services team and help create exceptional dining experiences for our residents.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to established menus and recipes.
• Maintain high standards of food quality, taste, presentation, and portion control.
• Follow all dietary requirements and special meal accommodations.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards.
• Demonstrate efficiency, accuracy, and attention to detail in meal preparation.
• Assist with meal service and dishwashing duties as needed.
• Engage with residents to gather feedback and enhance the dining experience.
• Help maintain a welcoming and positive dining atmosphere.
• Support overall kitchen operations and team success.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Culinary degree preferred.
• At least one year of cooking experience in a restaurant, healthcare, senior living, or similar setting.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Strong teamwork and customer service skills.
• Passion for serving older adults and providing exceptional hospitality.
