Associate Director for Faculty and Research Advancement

Stanford University Department of Biomedical Data Science (DBDS) is seeking an Academic Operations Manager 2 to provide management and coordination of administrative and operations-related functions for the Office of Faculty Affairs and Research Advancement with substantial impact within a school. The incumbent must be able to manage staff to achieve the research and teaching mission, goals and objectives of the department and partner with and/or influence faculty leadership on departmental mission-based affairs.

Desired Qualifications:

Experience managing faculty-facing academic operations, research-program administration and staff; familiarity with faculty affairs processes, sponsored-research coordination, and cross-functional service delivery.

Positions in this job series have managerial responsibility for the administrative and operational effectiveness of University school departments or programs, or for an entire school; multiple functions and associated staff managed may include business planning, finance, facilities, human resources, information technology, student services, research administration and health and safety. Individual contributor positions should be assigned to the Administrative Services Administrator series.
