Job Summary

The Clerk Accounting II is responsible for approving invoices within the workflow, opening and verifying each invoice against corresponding vouchers before approval.

What you will do

Approve invoices within the workflow.
Open each invoice and verify against corresponding vouchers.
Review vender statements to verify that all unpaid invoices are recorded in the accounts payable system.
Promptly request any missing vendor statements by communicating directly with the vendor themselves.
Work closely with the accounting department to identify accounts for posting payments.

Education Qualifications

Associate's Degree in Business, Accounting, or Finanace Required

Experience Qualifications

2 years of relevant accounting or administrative experience Required

Skills and Abilities

Knowledge of the fundamental principles and practices of finance administration.
Working knowledge of accounting theories, accepted practices and procedures.
Working knowledge of computer system functions.
Skill in researching and resolving problems.
Ability to exercise independent judgment in interpreting and applying procedures and practices to specific situations.
Ability to prepare billing or other types of statements and reports.
Ability to make difficult mathematical computations accurately and efficiently.
Ability to analyze computer generated data and make corrective action if needed.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
Ability to work effectively under stress.
Ability to organize and prioritize work and communicate clearly and respectfully both verbally and written.

Salaries are determined by factors relevant to the position which may include education, experience, and other qualifications. Final compensation decisions are made at the discretion of MNPS in alignment with organizational policies and procedures. The stated salary range for certificated teaching positions is calculated based on 201 days and should be viewed as a reference. All provided salary ranges serve as a general guideline.
