About the department

Global Regulatory Compliance helps Franklin Templeton manage regulatory risk across digital asset products, services, marketing, tokenization initiatives, and blockchain activities. The team partners across Distribution, Investment Management, Product, Risk, Legal, Operations, and Technology. Together, they establish effective controls and provide practical guidance. You will join a collaborative, global environment that supports responsible growth, client success, and deeper digital asset expertise.

How you will add value

Core Responsibilities

• You will advise business partners on digital asset regulations, risks, and mitigation strategies.
• You will review digital asset marketing, communications, and social media for compliance.
• You will serve as a Registered Principal when required.
• You will strengthen policies, governance frameworks, controls, and supporting documentation.
  

Strategic Responsibilities

• You will monitor regulatory developments and translate changes into actionable guidance.
• You will prepare compliance memoranda and deliver training on regulatory expectations.

Team & Collaboration

• You will conduct testing, support remediation, and assist with examinations and investigations.

What will help you be successful in this role

Experience, Education & Certifications

• Five or more years in senior compliance, legal, regulatory, or risk roles.
• Financial services, asset management, broker-dealer, fintech, or capital markets experience.
• Direct experience with digital assets, cryptocurrency, tokenization, blockchain, or related investments.
• Experience advising stakeholders on new products, services, processes, or strategic initiatives.
• Series 7 and Series 24 registrations preferred, or willingness to obtain them.

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of digital asset and emerging financial technology regulations.
• Experience developing compliance policies, controls, monitoring, training, or governance materials.
• Ability to interpret regulatory developments and provide practical compliance guidance.

Soft Skills

• Strong written, verbal, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Sound judgment, meticulous attention to detail, and cross-functional influence.
• Ability to succeed in a demanding, fast-paced, and multidimensional environment.

Work Schedule & Location

• This full-time hybrid role is based in our New York, NY office, with an expectation of three days onsite per week.

We expect the annual salary for this position to range between $180,000 - $210,000, depending on location and level of relevant experience, plus a discretionary bonus.
