What You'll Do
As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you'll work under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to deliver individualized rehabilitation treatments that help residents improve mobility, regain function, and maintain independence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide physical therapy treatments in accordance with the supervising Physical Therapist's established plan of care.
- Help residents improve strength, balance, endurance, mobility, and functional independence.
- Carry out prescribed therapeutic exercises, mobility activities, and rehabilitation interventions.
- Monitor residents' responses to treatment and communicate progress or concerns to the supervising Physical Therapist.
- Collaborate with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, and other members of the interdisciplinary team.
- Educate residents and families on safe mobility techniques, prescribed exercises, and strategies to support functional goals.
- Complete accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive treatment environment.
- Deliver compassionate, resident-centered care while promoting dignity, comfort, and quality of life.
Qualifications
- Current, active California Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license.
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively with residents, families, and an interdisciplinary team.
- A commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care and positive rehabilitation outcomes.
