Brand Design Lead

We are looking for a Brand Design Lead who combines creative leadership with strong people and project management skills.
Reporting to the Head of Design, you will lead a multidisciplinary team (3D/motion and video artists, graphic designers and a web designer) and own the creative direction and delivery for all non-product touchpoints: marketing campaigns, web presence, social media, 3D and motion assets, educational content and physical event booths.
This is a creative leadership role where management meets art direction. You’ll build and lead the team, drive projects from brief to release, and set the creative vision that shapes our brand across every touchpoint.
Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate and grow a team of 8 designers across 3D/motion, video, graphic and web design
- Set clear goals and expectations, run regular 1-on-1s, performance reviews and feedback cycles, and build individual development plans for each team member
- Hire, onboard and retain strong talent as the team grows
- Build a healthy team culture based on ownership, craft, open feedback and creative growth; prevent burnout and resolve conflicts early
- Set the creative direction and own the brand identity system: Brand Book, typography, 3D design language and motion identity
- Ensure consistent, premium brand expression across every touchpoint, so an Instagram carousel and a trade-show booth speak the same visual language
- Run creative reviews, give actionable feedback and act as the final quality gatekeeper for all outgoing materials
- Integrate generative AI into team workflows and build templates and asset libraries to increase production speed
- Partner with the Product Design Lead and Design System Designer to keep brand assets, 3D libraries, icons and color tokens in sync with the unified Design System
- Own the end-to-end delivery of all brand design projects, from brief and planning to execution and release
- Plan team capacity, prioritize incoming requests, distribute tasks and manage timelines across multiple parallel projects
- Build and improve team processes: intake and briefing, task tracking, creative review and approval flows, and clear SLAs for stakeholders
- Manage risks, dependencies and deadlines; escalate and re-prioritize when needed
- Act as the main point of contact for Marketing, Product, Events and C-level leadership on all brand design work
- Gather and clarify briefs, manage expectations, negotiate priorities and keep everyone aligned
- Present and defend creative concepts to stakeholders and senior management
Requirements
- 5+ years in visual or brand design, including 3+ years managing a design team of 5+ people as a Design Lead, Art Director or Creative Lead (FinTech, Crypto, Tech or top-tier creative agencies)
- Proven people management experience: hiring, 1-on-1s, performance reviews, development plans and building team culture
- Strong project management skills: planning, prioritization, capacity management and running multiple projects in parallel
- Proven experience managing stakeholders at different levels, including C-level, and handling competing priorities
- A strong portfolio showing brand identity systems, campaigns, 3D and motion work led by you and your team
- Solid working knowledge of Figma, Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects) and an understanding of 3D and video production pipelines
- Hands-on experience using AI tools in creative production
- Understanding of digital marketing formats, web constraints and print/environmental production specs for event booths
- Strong taste and attention to composition, typography and color, plus the ability to translate complex trading, financial and Web3 concepts into compelling visual stories
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, and the confidence to defend creative decisions
- Proficient English skills (B2 level) both written and spoken
Will be a plus
- Experience in FinTech, CFD/Forex brokerages, crypto exchanges or premium luxury brands
- Experience scaling a design team or building processes from scratch
- Recognition in global design forums (Awwwards, Behance Curated, Red Dot or similar)
