Get to Know the Team
We drive technical learning at Grab. Grab's Builders (and increasingly the agents working with them) build in a technical ecosystem that is complex and everchanging. Our purpose is to make this ecosystem easier to understand and manage.
Get to Know the Role
You will lead developer education across Grab's technical ecosystem, helping engineers onboard effectively, build proficiency, and access the right materials they need to work productively. This includes developing engineering onboarding material and procedures, curating learning pathways, supporting ongoing role-based learning, and ensuring Grab's engineering documentation platform remains a reliable source of practical guidance.
You will partner with engineering and platform teams across Grab to identify learning needs, establish content and quality standards, and bring documentation, guides, workshops, and other resources into a coherent learning experience. You'll oversee the accuracy, relevance, and discoverability of these resources, using feedback and performance insights to improve onboarding and strengthen engineering proficiency.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform
- Lead the curation of documentation for Grab’s engineering platforms, ensuring it is accurate, consistent, easy to navigate, and kept up to date.
- Develop and curate learning resources for engineers, including onboarding materials, e-learning courses, tutorials, and relevant industry resources.
- Design learning pathways that help engineers get started, build proficiency, and continue developing in their roles.
- Partner with engineering, product, and other subject-matter experts to identify knowledge gaps, plan content, and coordinate a steady pipeline of documentation and learning materials.
- Establish content standards, templates, and review processes that help teams create and maintain high-quality resources.
- Define and report on measures of content quality and learning effectiveness. Use feedback and engagement data to improve the resources and programs.
Qualifications
What Essential Skills You Will Need
- 8+ years in technical writing, developer education, technical program management, or a related field
- Proven track record creating API docs, developer guides, and platform-focused content
- Strong command of Markdown, HTML, and documentation tooling (e.g., Hugo, Confluence, GitLab/GitHub)
- Experience with Git-based content workflows
- Break down complex technical topics for different developer personas — backend, SRE, ML, mobile
- With ability to manage multiple content tracks simultaneously
- Experience coordinating deliverables and timelines across engineering and product teams
- Comfortable defining requirements, tracking progress, and surfacing blockers to stakeholders
- Collaborative working style with engineering and product teams
- Experience in a developer platform or internal tooling context
- Background in content strategy, information architecture, or developer community
- Exposure to AI-assisted content workflows and documentation automation
- Experience using analytics to improve content and measure developer engagement
- Familiarity with technical program or project management (roadmaps, OKRs, cross-team coordination)
