Job Description
This role is a critical Global Head of Design role at Endava, leading a team of designers that serve all aspects of our business.
The Global Head of Design is responsible for defining, leading, and evolving Endava's global design vision across brand, marketing, digital experiences, internal communications, and strategic business initiatives. This key leadership role ensures that design is a strategic capability that strengthens Endava's brand, enhances customer and employee experiences, and enables commercial growth.
The Global Head of Design leads a multidisciplinary creative organisation, establishing design excellence, governance, and innovation while fostering a high-performing, collaborative culture. The role combines creative leadership with operational rigor, ensuring design consistently delivers measurable business impact across all markets.
Working closely with Marketing, Sales, Client Partners, Consulting, Employer Brand, Corporate Communications, and executive leadership, the Global Head of Design will elevate Endava's visual identity, storytelling, and user experience while positioning us creatively, as differentiated in the market.
We are onboarding a new brand and creative agency, and the Head of Design will be a key internal partner, working hand in hand with them on ideas, design, and creative output, whilst leading a team of designers who bring that work to life across the business. This is a design led role at the heart of transforming how Endava is perceived as a brand in market.

- Key Responsibilities
- Define, lead, and continuously evolve the organisation's global design vision across brand, marketing, digital experiences, internal communications, and strategic business initiatives.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing design team, fostering excellence in creative execution, innovation, and design craft.
- Partner closely with external creative agencies to shape concepts, campaigns, visual direction, and creative strategy.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to define, enhance, and champion the company's visual identity across all channels and touchpoints.
- Drive the ongoing evolution of the brand, supporting a design-led transformation that strengthens internal and external brand perception.
- Act as the custodian of brand standards, ensuring consistency and scalability of brand assets, visual identity, and design systems across the organisation.
- Develop and implement scalable design frameworks, including the integration of brand guidelines into AI platforms, large language models (LLMs), and emerging digital tools.
- Challenge conventional approaches and champion innovative design thinking to support high-impact, globally integrated marketing campaigns.
- Establish a cohesive go-to-market design strategy that aligns visual identity, messaging, and customer experience across business functions and regions.
- Manage and optimize design operations, including creative tools, templates, workflows, asset libraries, and governance processes.
- Identify and implement opportunities to leverage AI and automation within the design function to enhance efficiency, creativity, and output quality.
- Ensure adherence to brand governance, visual standards, and creative best practices across all internal and external communications.
- Influence senior stakeholders and business leaders to embed design excellence and brand consistency throughout the organisation.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Marketing, Creative Arts, or a related discipline preferred.
- Relevant professional qualifications in Design, Brand Management, Creative Leadership, or Digital Marketing are advantageous.
Required Experience
- Proven experience leading and developing high-performing in-house design teams.
- Experience operating within B2B, professional services, technology, or corporate environments.
- Strong track record of partnering with and briefing external creative agencies to deliver impactful brand and marketing initiatives.
- Demonstrated experience developing, evolving, and implementing distinctive visual brand identities.
- Experience leading brand transformation initiatives and elevating brand perception across multiple channels and audiences.
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally with Marketing, Communications, Digital, Leadership, and business teams to embed brand and design thinking throughout an organisation.
- Experience utilizing modern design technologies, AI-powered creative tools, and emerging digital platforms to enhance design effectiveness and efficiency.
Knowledge & Technical Skills
- Strong understanding of brand strategy, visual identity systems, creative direction, and design governance.
- Knowledge of creative workflows, asset management, design systems, templates, and brand standards.
- Familiarity with AI-driven design tools, generative AI technologies, and large language model (LLM) applications within creative environments.
- Strong understanding of digital marketing, content creation, customer experience, and visual communications principles.
- Ability to balance strategic design leadership with hands-on creative execution when required.
