Job Description
We're looking for a Data & AI Pre-sales Lead to join our solutions group team. You'll combine commercial acumen with technical expertise to translate client business requirements into cost-effective, fit-for-purpose solutions, supporting our UK Go-to-Market strategy and driving targeted growth.
Working closely with the GTM teams, you'll support and shape all stages of pre-sales customer engagement, from exploratory meetings and workshops to bids and account strategy. You'll need a broad understanding across Data (Engineering, Science, Governance), AI (Machine Learning, Agentic AI, Generative AI, AI Governance), and Solution Architecture (spanning the full project lifecycle, from discovery through deployment to operation), with the ability to communicate solutions clearly to both business stakeholders and technical audiences.
Key responsibilities
- Provide solution support across sales efforts, strengthening the qualification, progression, and conversion of opportunities
- Partner with GTM Sales Leaders to identify, analyse, and qualify client business needs and sales opportunities from a technical and solution viability perspective
- Collaborate closely with technology partners to understand roadmaps and strategic direction
- Act as the point of contact for data and AI prospects for the GTM leads
- Define and present solutions and their value to clients and partners
- Contribute to and Author competitive bid responses, including requirements analysis, specification, and solution design
- Complete pre-sales documentation accurately and efficiently
- Identify and propose new or refined Netcompany propositions based on market and customer needs
- Author thought leadership content to build Netcompany's credibility and support lead generation, collaborating with Marketing and external agencies as needed
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends, competitor capabilities, and our differentiators
- Share customer insights with the business and educate colleagues to inform future product offerings.
- Travel to client sites and industry events to showcase emerging technologies and engage with clients
Qualifications
- 6+ years proven track record of complex, solution-led pre-sales for technology based service providers.
- Proven track record shaping Data & AI projects end-to-end, from discovery to deployment and operation, across multiple sectors
- Strong technical understanding of modern Data & AI technologies and supporting infrastructure
- Strong customer focus and ability to understand and translate customers’ needs into leading-edge solutions that can be commercialised.
- Proven sales, influencing, and negotiation skills, with the ability to generate leads aligned to Netcompany's strengths
- Confident writing proposals and managing sales meetings
- Excellent written and verbal communication, with diplomacy across all organisational levels
- Comfortable presenting to C-level executives, IT management, architects, and developers
- Disciplined, organised, self-motivated, with a positive "can-do" attitude
- Willingness to travel to client sites as required
