Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure all food and beverage outlets operate in a safe, efficient, and functional environment.
- To coordinate and manage the day-to-day maintenance and upkeep of the hotel as is pertains to kitchen systems, under the direction of the Engineering Management.
- To continually support and improve engineering services that effectively address problems affecting both guests and associates.
- Responsible for maintaining, modifying, troubleshooting, and repairing a large inventory of electric and gas commercial kitchen equipment and appliances.
- Be able to troubleshoot related equipment.
- Liaise with departments for repairs, maintenance and follow up.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols, emergency procedures, and regulatory compliance measures to safeguard guests, employees, and assets.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency. Also, conducts regular inspections and audits to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
- Maintains accurate record keeping of the operations of the department on a regular basis including inventory control records and ordering of material and equipment.
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise engineering projects, renovations, and upgrades within the resort.
- Prioritizing, and carrying out service support/inspections and updates systems as required.
Required Qualifications
- Certification or specialized training in facilities management or hospitality industry preferred.
- High School Diploma
- Proven experience in engineering management, preferably in a resort or hospitality environment a plus
- Certification in kitchen equipment repair is a plus
- Minimum 5–7 years of facilities management experience, preferably within hospitality, hotels, resorts, restaurants, or large-scale food service operations.
- Experience managing maintenance teams and external vendors.
