Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

•  Measures, tests, and inspects materials, products, machinery, and processes according to quality and safety standards, while meeting customer requirements.
• Uses various gauges and equipment to aid in measuring and inspecting products.
• Participates in Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) activities and change control.
• Calibrates inspection equipment, instruments, and gauges to ensure they function properly.
• Participates in internal, supplier, and customer audit activities corresponding to production schedules.
• Collects, tracks, records, and maintains quality control data and reporting on this data.
• Interacts with customers and/or vendors when necessary for quality assurance.
• Informs customers of any issues with product quality and ensures a corrective action plan is in place.
• Reports any NG (No Good) condition and contains suspect material.
• Ability to make accurate assessments of problems, communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with a strong interest in a collaborative working process.
• Performs inspections of the quality and strength of welds by using weld destructive test and cut and etch test to ensure conformance with quality standards.
• Maintains a safe, organized, and clean work area.
• Other duties and projects may be assigned based on the operational objectives of the company.

Education And/Or Experience:

High school diploma or general education diploma (GED) and minimum two years leadership experience in automotive manufacturing environment; or equivalent combination of education and/or experience. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills with all level of employees. Strong organizational skills, teamwork, and leadership skills.

This policy establishes the minimum requirements internal candidates must meet to be considered eligible for internal job postings, including promotions and lateral transfers. Exceptions to these eligibility requirements may be considered and must be approved by Human Resources and management.

Eligibility Requirements

1. Minimum Length of Service

Internal candidates must have completed at least 90 days of continuous service with HIROTEC Manufacturing America.

2. Performance and Conduct Review

Internal candidates must have no written counseling on file within six (6) months preceding the promotion or transfer request (excluding attendance warnings).

3. Attendance Standing

Internal candidates must maintain an attendance points balance of three (3) points or fewer for a minimum of six (6) months prior to being considered for an internal promotion. This does not apply to transfers.

4. Promotion and Transfer Frequency

Internal candidates are limited to one promotion or transfer within any six (6)-month period.

5. Application Requirement

Internal candidates must complete an internal position interest application by the ending of the posting dates to be considered for any promotion or transfer opportunity.

Probationary Period

All internal promotions or transfers are subject to a 90-day probationary period to evaluate performance and suitability for the role. At the end of this period, we will review the internal candidate’s performance to ensure a smooth transition into the new position.
